This past November I had the incredible opportunity to realize my vision for an installation entitled Breathing Under Water at InsideOut in Sacramento. The site is a unique space consisting of a large bay window visible to passersby walking and driving through downtown. The installation transformed over time, from a collage of older drawings and paintings to more recent work, all within a tangled web of hanging sculptures made from plaster, yarn, ribbon, and torn journals and calendars. My aim was to create a visual representation of my mind: the inner experiences of creativity, confusion, anxiety, and resilience. Much appreciations to Mehran Mesbah and the rest of the welcoming Sacramento art community!
